Review: Insecure Series Finale

The Insecure series finale is a must watch. Costume Designer Shiona Turini shared so many memorable fashion moments throughout her run and the final episode did not disappoint. Episode 10 was jam packed with looks.

Molly’s birthday quick change was so refreshing. 

Issa’s pink suit was the perfect way to solidify her as a BOSS. 

Kelly looked regal in emerald green. 

Tiffany came back from Denver still prim and proper. 

And everyone was drop dead gorgeous at the  TV wedding event of the year. 

If you work in the motion picture industry, you know Seasons 1 and 2 budgets are tiiiiiight!!! But we all know that leaves room for greater creativity. In the documentary Insecure: The End, Director Melina Matsoukas shared that the green metallic dress from Season 1 episode 1 was a dress from her own wardrobe closet. It’s a memorable piece that proves we do what we have to do to visually tell the story.
