Things We Loved About Rihanna’s Super Bowl Performance
Marking her first live performance since 2017, Rihanna went all out with a 13-minute-long Super Bowl halftime show featuring some of her greatest hits, impeccable set design as well as a seriously unexpected pregnancy surprise. In spite of the baby bump, Rihanna gave her fans a fashionable performance to remember and is now the go-to celebrity for revolutionary maternity style. Here’s a breakdown of her entire Super Bowl look and more.
Boiler Suit + Breastplate
Rihanna returned to the live stage wearing a red bespoke boiler suit with a red bodysuit and breastplate by the British designer Jonathan Anderson.
Diamond Accessories
The boiler suit was accessorised with three vintage diamond brooches from Joseph Saidian & Sons and Messika diamonds shined as she wore a red watch with an encrusted bezel.
Footwear
Rihanna also wore a pair of low sneakers from the MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon collaboration.
An ode to ALT
The late Andre’ Leon Talley praised Rihanna saying that her Met Gala moment with the canary yellow Guo Pei couture gown was his proudest moment. To pay homage to him, mid performance Rihanna added a red Alaïa coat (and gloves) similar to the red Norma Kamali coat ALT wore in his 2021 campaign for Ugg. A proud moment for all fashion lovers.
Dancer in Savage x Fenty
It was only right that the dancers wore Rihanna’s wildly successful clothing brand Savage x Fenty.
Talladega Nights
ASAP Rocky’s look is not to be overlooked. The soon-to-be dad of two and boyfriend looked southern/mid-western chic.
