Christian Dior—the fashion icon in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris — once said, “Without hats, there is no civilization.” Truth is, hats can be a bit of a nightmare on set. They can cause continuity errors, bump into the microphones, become damaged…and let’s not even mention the process of storing the hats on the truck and in the lines for the next day’s work. So when a hat makes it to camera, it’s because it was well worth it the Costume Designer’s effort.
